We all know the major marathons around the country, New York, Boston, Chicago. Have you heard about the LARGEST 10k in the world? Shout out to the Peachtree Road Race, which takes place in my own backyard, Atlanta, Ga!
The Peachtree Road Race 10K is a 10 kilometer road race held annually in Atlanta on July 4, Independence Day. The Peachtree Road Race is the world’s largest 10 kilometer race.
Around 60,000 – 70,000 racers participate. Holiday weekend + hit + hills + humidity. People go crazy for this race, and often will auction their bibs to others.
It’s a good celebration across the city for the 4th of July.
It’s hot and fast, does this sound like 4th fun to anyone crazy enough out there to run? Anybody making holiday race plans?
